สืบเนื่องจากงานประชุมสัมมนานักศึกษาครั้งที่ 4 ทางคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดีได้รับทราบและตระหนักถึงปัญหาในเชิงโครงสร้างและการประสานงานที่ไม่ชัดเจนขององค์กรนักศึกษาแพทย์ในปัจจุบัน จึงเป็นที่มาของการริเริ่มจัดตั้ง “สภานักศึกษาแพทย์รามาธิบดี” เพื่อเป็นองค์กรที่จะรวบรวมบทบาทหน้าที่ที่ชัดเจนของทุกภาคส่วน และประสานงานกันแบบองค์รวม
